It is the cosmic order that governs all existence, and each individual’s dharma is their role in upholding this order. However, dharma is not just what you do, but also how and why you do it. Many people believe that their dharma is simply their job or career. For example, a doctor may feel like their dharma is to heal people, or a teacher may feel like their dharma is to educate students. While these professions can certainly be important aspects of a person’s dharma, they are not the entirety of it.
Dharma is about living a life of purpose and intention, regardless of what you do for a living. By understanding the why behind your actions, you can better align yourself with your dharma.
The how of your actions is also important. Are you acting with kindness and compassion, or are you approaching things with anger or negativity? Our actions have a ripple effect on the world around us, and it is important to approach everything with mindfulness and care. Ultimately, dharma is about living a life of purpose and intention. It is not just about what you do, but also how and why you do it. By approaching life with mindfulness and compassion, we can better align ourselves with our dharma and work towards creating a more harmonious and balanced world.
