Birthday Reflection
For many, January 1st marks the moment to reflect, recalibrate, and set new intentions for the year ahead. But as I reflect on my birthday (August 31st), I find it offers me a more natural checkpoint—a perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on the last three quarters of the year. This personal marker feels like a chance to realign my vision, celebrate milestones, and set fresh goals.
Growth & Transformation
This year has been a whirlwind of growth, transformation, and joy. I’m grateful for so many accomplishments over the last twelve months:
– Launching a subscription platform designed by TrevNet Media Corp. that truly expresses my voice and mission, allowing me to serve and connect with an incredible community.
– Rebranding to align my offerings with my values and how I want to support others in their wellness journeys, and reimagining my logo with talented creative Wendy Saade
– Co-leading an international yoga retreat in Mexico with my dear friend, Natiya Guin, ND, MEd, NBHWC – a soulful and transformative experience for both myself and the participants. Made possible by Wellness Marketing Ltd. Tammy Petersen
– Being recognized as a finalist for IDEA Health & Fitness Association Fitness Leader of the Year, a humbling acknowledgment that fuels my drive even further.
– Completing the first three chapters of my doctoral dissertation at Concordia University-St. Paul, a significant step toward contributing to the field of women’s health.
– Teaching at University of Southern California first-ever yoga teacher training led by Dr. Eden Goldman, D.C., C-IAYT, E-RYT , I shared a pre- and postnatal yoga module that has been close to my heart.
-Continued private and corporate teaching, including an amazing event in CO with GOBankingRates
– Stepping out of my comfort zone and honing my public speaking skills (thanks Jennifer Fukui Castells) through media appearances
-Being featured on the cover of Women Fitness
Onward and Upward
All of these experiences have brought me closer to my vision of soul-centered service, creating opportunities for people to experience the joy of movement and the power of the mind-body connection.
As I step into this next cycle, I’m energized to continue building on this foundation. There are still a few key goals on my vision board for the remainder of the year, and I feel prepared to tackle them with renewed focus and passion.
Birthdays remind us that our journeys don’t have to be tied to the calendar year. Whenever your birthday may be, it can be your personal New Year, a time to take stock of your accomplishments, assess how far you’ve come, and reset your compass for the road ahead.
Here’s to another year of growth, service, and joy!
